Groups and individuals currently receiving PBI accompanimentFollow Up: We regularly receive requests for accompaniment from social organisations and human rights defenders who are or who feel threatened. Through international accompaniment, we seek to reduce the threats and open a more secure space in which they can carry out their work. Once the level of risk, the threats and security incidents suffered by the accompanied organisations and individuals have diminished, we continue the accompaniment in the “follow up” phase. This means that we reduce the physical accompaniment and continue to maintain contact with them through visits and/or phone calls to their workplaces and offices. At the same time, we remain available to respond should they have specific requests for international presence. |
