Kerstin Reemtsma (Germany)

Training programs with the Guatemalan Church for refugees living in Mexico 1989-93.

Preparation of delegations working on constructing development programs for the CPR-Ixcan and CPR-Sierra, 1993-97.

Advisor to the CPR Sierra negotiating team with the Guatemalan government 1993-97.

Coordination of different projects of education and health in the CPR communities 1994-99.

Consultant for various projects of the CPR and other groups in the Ixil Area 2000-02.

Eva Scarfe (Australia)

PBI El Salvador Team Member 1988-90.

Accompaniment of Guatemalan Refugees in Mexico 1991-1992.

Accompaniment of CPR-Ixcan 1993-98.

Served on the coordinating committee of PBI Guatemala in the role of advisor

Experience in preparing and leading PBI trainings in political analysis.

 

Estefanía Sarmiento (Colombia)

Qualified social and political psychologist.

PBI Guatemala Team Member 2005-6.

Member of the PBI Guatemala project training team since 2006.

Experience of work and investigation of psycho-social accompaniment of victims of socio-political violence in Colombia.

 

Cristina Barbeito (Spanish)

Lived in Guatemala from 2002 to 2005 and was familiar with the work of PBI in Guatemala.

As a legal professional, she has a great deal of training in international human rights and can relate some interesting experiences.

She also has a wide array of connections and experience in fundraising because she has worked with non-governmental organizations as an expert in certain projects.

Since the Guatemala Project was restarted in 2003, the project has produced a Monthly Information Package detailing the team's activities, alongside a quarterly bulletin which deals in greater depth with the issues affecting Guatemalan human rights defenders.
